MER is a collection of techniques that allows you let go of your limiting beliefs and stuck negative emotions quickly at the unconscious level. Mental and Emotional Release® was developed by Dr Matt James and others. As a certified master practitioner of MER, trained by Dr Matt James, I am happy to offer this life empowering therapy to clients.

In clinical tests MER was shown to be far more effective than Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with no relapses.

 

What are Negative Emotions?

Being stuck with emotions such as anger, sadness, fear, hurt and guilt.is called baggage. This baggage puts you in a constant underlying state of stress and loops in your head. Letting go releases your mind's energy to get on with being, doing and having what you want in life and staying healthy longer.

Normally an emotional feeling lasts for 90 seconds. You might feel the need to hang on longer to process it and that's ok. Often we do just let things go, move on. However, when negative emotions become embedded as a repetative cycle of thoughts, perhaps due to intensity or repetition of events and keeps on over months or years that is very disempowering and unhealthy. MER can help with releasing them.

 

What are limiting beliefs?

Limiting beliefs are those beliefs you hold about yourself that prevent you doing what you want to do, often we don't even know they are there. They are like apps that constantly run in your head to do all the things you do without having to think consciously, like when you drive a car, the car driving app runs unconsciously. Many of these apps run limiting beliefs. Using a technique called breakthrough we can uncover your unconscious limiting beliefs and re-evaluate them quicxkly using MER. If you are really struggling to achieve something, you can be pretty sure there are limiting beliefs behind it.

 

What is a Breakthrough Session?

Breakthrough is an interview or discussion, with questions designed to get to your unconscious behavioural patterns, beliefs and values. It usually takes about 4-6 hours. By identifying your patterns we can then use MER to re-evaluate them at the unconscious level.

In the physical world we replace stuff all the time. You wouldn't use a computer or applications from 1980's, would you?

It is the same in our mental and emotional world. Letting go of old beliefs or values that no longer serves you, and often causes us pain without realising, is important to effect real change. Mental and Emotional Release® effectively and quickly frees your mind from those old beliefs, empowering you to create the life you really want.

The full therapy involves

  • Discussions on your goals, why you want to do this, where you are now, where do you want to be.
  • Breakthrough session and Values Elicitation.
  • Intervention using MER and other NLP techniques to get rid of the baggage
  • Goal setting and Hypnotherapy

Follow up coaching sessions are required for a short while afterwards. This is also a journey of self discovery. You will also learn much about yourself and learn many tools to keep you focussed, motivated and your energy high.
